The debut release from CLRK ALTER, Lifeform, sees composer Jon Clarke experimenting in a new space, fusing traditional acoustic instrumentation with wildly visceral electronics and sound design. There is a consistent atmosphere running throughout the EP that often brings to mind imagery of a dystopian future and the occasional hope that can be found within it

Lifeform is a journey echoing that of the natural world around us, from its microbial beginnings through to its ultimate end. Electronic beats and synthesizers sprawl out and hiss like living creatures across the beautiful and emotive arrangements for piano and strings, which lay down the harmonic foundations.
